Sicily UNESCO sites can be found all over the island. The World Heritage list counts 24 locations on the island: it includes several historic sites, as well as natural reserves. Lately UNESCO selected a few historic buildings located in Palermo, Monreale and Cefalù as part of a new itinerary listed in the World Heritage as “Arab-Norman Palermo and Cathedral Churches of Cefalù and Monreale”.
