An unforgettable stay in a stylish modern villa set in the peaceful Sicilian countryside.
We spent a wonderful week at Villa Donna Grazia and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Both the owners and the agency were friendly, responsive, and always available via WhatsApp whenever we needed assistance.
The villa is very well cared for and equipped with everything required for a relaxing and comfortable holiday. One of the highlights for us was definitely the swimming pool, surrounded by beautiful countryside views that made the setting feel truly special.
The entire property offers a wonderful sense of peace and privacy, making it the perfect place to unwind, slow down, and enjoy the charm and natural beauty of Sicily.
We had an amazing stay at Blue Sea Cottage and truly appreciated every day we spent there. The property is even more charming in person and fully matches the description and photos. It was spotless on arrival, well equipped, and thoughtfully arranged, making us feel at home from the very beginning.
Antonella and Patrizia were both friendly, responsive and easy to reach via WhatsApp. Although they were always available to help, everything was so well organised that we never actually needed to contact them during our stay.
Our group consisted of five people, including a five-year-old child, and the villa suited our needs perfectly. The generous indoor and outdoor spaces, the jacuzzi and the short walk to the beach made it an ideal place for a family holiday.
The beach itself was one of the highlights of our trip. It is long, peaceful and uncrowded, with crystal-clear water and a gently sloping shoreline that stretches out for a long distance. It was perfect for our child to play safely, while also being an excellent place for swimming, relaxing and enjoying long walks by the sea.
The location is another great advantage. Selinunte is just a few minutes away, and many of western Sicily's most beautiful destinations—including the Valley of the Temples, Segesta, Erice, Trapani, Marsala and Sciacca—can all be reached in about an hour or slightly more.
For anyone looking to combine a relaxing seaside holiday with the opportunity to explore the cultural and historical treasures of Sicily, Blue Sea Cottage is an excellent choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would gladly return in the future, and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

We had an excellent stay at Villa Anphora/Kentia - Mr Di Stefano in Carini, just a short drive from Palermo. We were a large family group enjoying our first holiday together in many years, and the villa proved to be the ideal place for our reunion.
The property is spacious and well laid out, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, allowing everyone to enjoy both comfort and privacy. The swimming pool was large, clean, and very well maintained, providing a great space to relax and spend time together.
One of the highlights was the outdoor kitchen, which was exceptionally well equipped. As a chef, I particularly enjoyed preparing meals there and making the most of the outdoor setting.
We had the chance to enjoy an extraordinary week in the south-western area of Sicily thanks to The Scent of Sicily. For our group of four couples, we rented an authentic 17th-century treasure — Villa Tower — located between Castelvetrano and Selinunte.
The villa is surrounded by an expansive garden filled with olive and orange trees and also features a beautiful private swimming pool. Every morning we enjoyed freshly squeezed orange juice and refreshing swims in crystal-clear water.
It is the ideal place for groups of 8 to 10 people, offering every comfort while preserving the authentic charm and atmosphere of Sicily. Staying there truly felt like stepping into scenes from “The Godfather” or “Il Gattopardo.”
The team at The Scent of Sicily was exceptionally professional, attentive, and discreet throughout our stay, taking care of every detail and always responding promptly to our requests and needs.
We will definitely return to Sicily, and when we do, it will certainly be again with The Scent of Sicily!
We truly enjoyed our stay — it was calm, quiet, and perfect for relaxing. Casale dell'Ulivo is conveniently located near the town, activities, and supermarkets; while not within walking distance, having a car allowed us to easily visit the stunning beaches, explore Noto, and try several excellent local restaurants.
Coming back to unwind by the pool after our morning outings was a real pleasure. Gabriella was an exceptional host: always quick to reply and very helpful with information about both the house and nearby places to visit.
Thank you again, Gabriella, for a wonderful experience.

Villa Orlaya is a hidden treasure located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. From the parking area and beautifully designed garden, the surprise is immediate. Even though we arrived late, the warm lighting created a magical first impression. The hosts gave us a personalized welcome and had already arranged groceries according to our request. During the tour of the property, every feature was carefully explained, and the services exceeded what was described in the listing. The villa is full of thoughtful details, from the architecture and spacious living room to the floor-to-ceiling windows and multiple terraces. It takes time to fully appreciate everything available. The bedrooms offer exceptional comfort with top-quality bedding that guarantees complete rest and relaxation. Very quickly, the villa feels like a peaceful home away from home. The large kitchen, elegant garden, and sea views create a truly unique atmosphere. With relaxing music in the background, it became difficult to imagine leaving. We would gladly come back.
We enjoyed a wonderful week at the villa and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a special holiday stay. The property is luxurious, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything needed for a perfect vacation. Thanks to this amazing accommodation, our trip was truly unforgettable.
Welcoming and set in a wonderfully peaceful spot. The view over the valley is truly striking and gives the place a special atmosphere, especially at sunrise and in the evening. The pool of Villa Amphora is a real highlight, with its own terrace that feels private and separate from the rest of the outdoor areas—perfect for relaxing without interruptions. Overall, it’s a comfortable, calm base for a restorative stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Villa Amphora. The house was immaculate, with lots of room to spread out and big tables that worked perfectly for a group. The hosts were friendly, quick to reply, and genuinely helpful throughout. We also loved the pool area — it was a real highlight and made it easy to unwind every day. Overall, everything felt comfortable and well-maintained, and we’d happily return.

Yes, Scent of Sicily reviews refer to real villa stays by guests who booked and stayed in Sicily.
They show what photos cannot always explain: pool comfort, outdoor spaces, bedroom layout, sea views, privacy, arrival support and the feel of each location. Some comments refer to villas near Taormina, Cefalù, Noto, San Vito Lo Capo or quieter countryside areas. This helps travellers compare different villa styles before opening a full property page and checking dates, prices and availability. Browse villas in Sicily.
What do guests mention in villa reviews?
Guests often mention private pools, sea views, outdoor dining, comfort, location and local support.
These details are useful because they describe the stay in practical terms. A review may explain whether the pool area works for children, whether the terrace is good for meals, or whether the villa feels quiet enough for a slow week in Sicily. Guests may also mention nearby beaches, parking, shops, restaurants and the help received before arrival or during the stay. See villas with private pools.
How do reviews help choose a villa?
Villa reviews help travellers compare real stays by comfort, pool, sea view, location and family needs.
Photos show the house, while reviews show how guests used it during the holiday. They can highlight whether a villa suits families, couples, groups, beach days, quiet pool time or day trips around Sicily. Reviews are especially useful when 2 villas look similar online but offer different layouts, outdoor spaces or access to the sea. Compare luxury villas in Sicily.
Are reviews linked to villa pages?
Yes, when a review refers to a specific property, the villa link leads to the full villa page.
Each villa page gives the key booking details: photos, capacity, bedrooms, bathrooms, pool information, nearby beaches, local distances, prices and availability. This helps travellers move from a guest comment to the full property details without losing context. It also makes the review more useful, because guests can check whether that same villa fits their group size, travel dates and preferred area of Sicily. View all villas in Sicily.
Can reviews help families choose a villa?
Yes, reviews help families understand whether a villa suits children, shared meals, pool time and quieter days.
Families often look for safe outdoor space, enough bedrooms, simple logistics, parking, easy beach access and support during the stay. Guest comments can reveal whether a terrace is comfortable for meals, whether the pool area feels practical, or whether the villa layout gives enough privacy for 2 families travelling together. They work best beside the full villa page, where capacity, bedrooms, bathrooms and pool details are listed. Explore family villas in Sicily.
Do reviews mention beach villas in Sicily?
Some reviews refer to beach villas or coastal villas with sea views, terraces and short access to the shore.
Guest comments can be useful when comparing a villa near the beach with one set slightly inland. They may mention walking distance, parking, terraces, wind, views or how easy it is to move between the sea and the villa during the day. This helps travellers choose between a coastal stay, a countryside villa with more space, or a base close to towns and restaurants. View beach villas in Sicily.
