A recently restored Nineteenth-Century villa is ready to welcome you with exclusive inside spaces, a wonderful English lawn, a stunning sea view and a private access to the sea. In the picturesque seafaring village of Torre Archirafi which lies right on the Ionic coast, not far from the pleasant city of Riposto, near the “small piece of heaven on earth in Sicily”: Taormina. This is one of the most beautiful villas in Sicily from our catalogue, as well as one of the newest: we invite you to discover it with us.
The accommodation lies on the ground floor of the villa, a 120sqm-wide apartment that just shares the entrance and the parking with the upper floor. Privacy is complete in this beautiful and refined historic villa that can accommodate up to 4 guests within a very comfortable and wide space. The recent renovation (completed during May 2013) has preserved the Sicilian traditional character of this mansion – majolica tiles, terracotta pavements, fresh and bright spaces, ancient and very refined furniture- without giving up on all the modern comforts required, from plasma SAT TV to top-quality kitchen supplies.
Outside, the sight is just stunning. A private outside pergola (just for guests), tastefully furnished with outdoor tables and chairs, will be perfect for starting your day at its best with a delicious breakfast with fresh-baked croissants, staring at the beautiful sea right in front of you. There is also a BBQ area that will let you enjoy plenty of open-air dinners with fresh products from the fish markets nearby, as well as a sun-bathing area within the impeccable English garden: the panorama here is really wonderful, especially with the thousands of shades of the colors during sunrise and sunset. And then, you just have to turn your head around to discover the majestic Mt. Etna, the active volcano that has recently been declared UNESCO world heritage, with the green forests of the Etna Park.
Inside, the living area still preserves the refined peculiar traits of the ancient house: vaults, precious pavements and exposed-stone walls. The organization of the inside spaces is really clever and practical. Spaces are wide and luminous: the living area with its beautiful vaults and refined furniture and details (including typical Sicilian ceramics) opens onto the pergola, and is located right in front of the dining area, tastefully furnished with prestigious ancient chairs, table and cupboard. The kitchen is fully equipped and embellished by Sicilian majolica, and bedrooms are cosy and spacious.
Direct access to the sea is granted by a very practical wooden platform that will take you to a rocky area and a transparent light blue sea: the best for a day swimming, or for discovering the underwater wonders if you are into scuba diving! And remember that everything you need – markets, restaurants and so on – is just 200 meters far in the lovely hamlet of Torre Archirafi.

The surroundings
Torre Archirafi is a pleasant quiet seafaring hamlet that enjoys a very fortunate position: first of all, the sight here is breath-taking. Your eyes will go from the great Mt. Etna and its verdant slopes to the exclusive wonderful town of Taormina, with the offshoots of the Peloritani mountains, and further on to the seashore of Calabria; during the night, you’ll spot more than a little light in the middle of the sea – the so-called “lampare” of fishing boats that will be back at dawn with their catch for sale. Here, you’ll find picturesque fish markets as well as high-quality fish restaurants serving the freshest ingredients around, as well as a post office and various shops.
If you continue for three kilometers along a very panoramic coastal street you’ll reach the city of Riposto, a much larger centre with all services you need, including a touristic port that will be perfect for daily boat trips within the Ionic sea. The enchanting Taormina lies just 20 kilometers far, and the access to the Park of Etna is just 17 kilometers away.
