Our love for Sicily is unconditional, with this land we share the same spirit, the same soul. It’s always pleasant though to see that the same admiration we have for our island and for its beauty is shared by those who come visit it. We know thanks to the feedback of our guests, of course, from the opinions of travelers we read online. As a confirmation comes now the ranking published by the most famous international traveling magazine: Condé Nast Traveller.

Traveller recently run a poll among its readers, asking them which one was in their own opinion the most beautiful island in the world. The response has been the basis of a ranking that counts twelve among islands and archipelagos. Sicily ranked 3rd, right behind Maldives and Greek islands; the ranking  includes then Saint Barts, Antilles, Balearic islands, Seychelles, followed by another Italian island, Capri, Barbados and Malta.

The elements evaluated in the questionnaire submitted to Traveller’s readers were scenery, beaches, cost of living, food, quality of accommodations and interactions with locals. Sicily’s success among tourists is surely a mixture of different factors: the beauty of its beaches and its countryside, the kindness and friendliness of Sicilians, the delights of a thousands years old culinary tradition.

These are all the things that make a holiday in Sicily a unique experience, something impossible to describe to the ones who’ve never lived it.
