Checking out some of our villas in Sicily with sea view you must have noticed most of them are in the Northwestern region of the island. There indeed you will find some of the most beautiful Sicilian beaches. San Vito Lo Capo and Scopello are definitely the most famous touristic destinations on the Northwestern coast of Sicily: the beauty of these two charming villages has become legendary. Scopello is an ancient, tiny hamlet perched on the flanks of a mountain overlooking a beautiful stretch of coast, where the sea is transparent and very clean. Its Arab origins are proved by its “baglio”, a typical Arab courtyard surrounded by small lovely houses and typical shops and restaurants serving delicious fish cous cous, the most traditional meal of the area (again, an Arab legacy). The access to the sea is just astonishing, with the famous “faraglioni” (huge rocks in the sea, just a few meters from the beach) that have been chosen as a setting for plenty of films, including worldwide-famous Hollywood productions. Its ancient “tonnara”, once used as storage and processing site for tuna, has been turned into a seafaring museum. To visit the famous beach of Scopello the best option is staying nearby: right next to it you will find our villas in Castellammare del Golfo, a nearby bigger town.

The little hamlet is surrounded by the verdant mountains of the Zingaro Nature Reserve, a wonderful unspoilt area where tourists can find interesting trekking routes ending up in breath-taking points of observation on mountain tops, as well as secluded tiny bays, perfect for a day at the beach in front of a sapphire blue sea. Very rare animals and plants can be found in the whole Reserve, as well as interesting natural museums; moreover, the seabed is a true wonderland for diving lovers.

At the opposite end of the Zingaro Nature Reserve, at the feet of Mount Cofano, lies the seaside resort of San Vito Lo Capo, famous for its three-kilometer white-sand beach and its transparent sea. Our villas in San Vito lo Capo and Scopello are the perfect place for a Tropical-style holiday. The stunning beach is its most famous feature, together with the typical recipe of the area: fish cous cous, served in almost every restaurant and bar of the town, together with “pani cunzatu”, delicious local bread stuffed with tomatoes, cheese, anchovies and olive oil. And don’t forget to taste some “cassatelle” too, typical sorts of “sweet ravioli” stuffed with goat ricotta, sugar and chocolate sprinkles – try one in a typical café/bakery in Castellammare del Golfo, the ancient seafaring town you cross to reach Scopello or San Vito, also rich in interesting monuments and beautiful beaches. Our villas in San Vito Lo Capo are waiting for you!
